What is the difference between the copyediting and proofreading services?
Our copyediting service includes a thorough read-through to check for mistakes in grammar, punctuation, syntax and spelling. Facts and consistency are also checked and the whole document is checked for cohesiveness and completeness. This service also includes minor rewriting or reorganisation of content where required.
In contrast, our proofreading service is for documents that have already been copyedited. It is a final check to ensure there are no obvious mistakes, awkward wording or formatting issues. If there are many errors, a copyedit will need to be done instead.
Can you do sample edits?
Yes. If you would like to try our service before committing, we offer a one-page edit free of charge. The document must have a minimum of 5 pages to qualify for this service.
Do you edit graphs and images within the document?
Yes. Text that is included in images or within graphs is edited, providing editable copies are provided.
Do you offer an express service?
Yes. The price will differ to the normal service and the express service is subject to a quote and confirmation of availability.
